On Wednesday May 13th, Cynthia K. Lowery, loving mother and stepmother of 5 children, passed away at age 65.     Cynthia was a friend to many classmates and a strong supporter of the GPN Class of 1973 and attended our 45th Reunion.

Cindy was born on January 6th, 1955 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan to Bernard and Letty Kilbride. She received her Master’s degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. On July 10th, 1990, she married the love of her life, William Lowery. Together they had 5 children from different marriages.

Cindy was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, taking them on the trolly and swimming. She also liked playing golf with her girlfriends. Cindy was the main hub for the entire family, she made sure the family made an effort to meet up and spend time together. If it wasn’t for her we would not have had the opportunity to see our family together as often as we did. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Kilbride, her mother, Letty Kilbride, her husband William Lowery, and her step children Lynn Siejutt and Denise Palmer. She is survived by her children/stepchildren, David Hewitt (Jennifer), Mary Kay Kirtley-McEachern (Calvin), and John Lowery (Rita), her sister Cathy Hach (Bob), and her brothers Jeff Kilbride, Ron Kilbride (Cathy) and Bernard Kilbride (Peggy). A memorial service celebrating Cindy's life will take place at a later date.
